New Debit Cards Arriving Soon
In our ongoing commitment to providing you with the best service and security, Pinnacle Credit Union is thrilled to announce the issuance of new debit cards to all our valued members starting March 6, 2024. With these new cards comes a host of questions, and we're here to shed some light on them, ensuring a smooth transition to a more secure and convenient banking experience.
1. Why am I receiving a new card if I didn’t request one?
At Pinnacle Credit Union, we're always looking to enhance our services. The new debit cards boast improved security features and functionality, including contactless payments for a seamless transaction experience.
2. Why did I receive multiple debit cards?
If you find yourself with an extra card, it's because our card issuance process captures all previously held cards, not just the active ones. Please activate the card with the most recent expiration date and securely discard the other.
3. Will my subscriptions/auto-pays still be linked to my old card?
You'll need to update your card information for any subscriptions or automatic payments linked to your old card number, as these cannot be automatically transferred to your new card.
4. How do I activate and set up the PIN for my new card?
Your new card comes with easy-to-follow instructions for activation and PIN setup. Just follow the steps provided on the card carrier and the activation sticker.
5. When can I start using my new card? What if I've already discarded my old card?
Keep your current card until you activate your new card after March 6, 2024. If you've already discarded your old card and need access to your funds, please contact us at 404-888-1648 or msr@pinnaclecu.org.
6. Can the new cards be activated before March 6, 2024?
Absolutely! You can activate your new card immediately, but it will only become operational on March 6th. There's no need to reactivate your card on this date if you've already done so.
7. May I have the same card number?
Unfortunately, no. Your new card will have a different number as the old card numbers will be deactivated for security reasons, including a change in the Bank Identification Number (BIN).
8. What do I do with my old card?
Once your new card is activated and you've confirmed it's working, please destroy your old card by shredding it to protect your personal information.
9. Will my Pinnacle savings and checking accounts be linked to the new card?
Yes, your accounts will be automatically linked to your new card, ensuring a seamless transition.
10. Will I be able to use P2P Networks such as Zelle, and mobile wallet services like Apple Pay and Google Pay?
Zelle: Absolutely!
Apple Pay and Google Pay: These features will be available after the initial launch. We're making sure these services are secure for your use and will update you on their availability.
11. Is mobile banking available with my new debit card?
Absolutely! You can continue to enjoy all the benefits of mobile banking with your new card.
We hope this addresses any concerns you might have. Should you have further questions or require assistance, please feel free to reach out to us at 404-888-1648. Your convenience and security are our top priorities, and we're here to support you every step of the way.
